Common Questions

Everything You Need to Know

No prior experience is required for our beginner courses. We welcome complete novices and provide all the foundational instruction needed. Our instructors are skilled at working with students at all levels, from those who have never touched clay to experienced potters seeking to refine their technique.

All materials, tools, and equipment are provided as part of your course fee. This includes clay, glazes, firing, and use of all studio equipment. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and bringing an apron if you prefer. Some students like to bring a towel and their own tools as they progress.

The timeline varies depending on the technique and complexity. Generally, a piece requires multiple sessions: creation, drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. Most students complete their first pieces within 3-4 weeks. We handle all drying and firing processes, keeping you informed throughout the journey of your creation.

Students enrolled in our intermediate and advanced courses have the option to purchase open studio time at a discounted rate. This allows you to practice independently while having access to our facilities and equipment. Beginner students are welcome to join open studio sessions once they've completed their foundation course.

We understand that life happens. If you need to miss a session, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We'll do our best to arrange a makeup session or provide guidance on catching up. For multi-week courses, we recommend attending all sessions to get the full benefit of progressive skill building.

Yes, we offer both private instruction and group workshop bookings for special occasions, team building events, or personalized learning. Private lessons provide one-on-one attention tailored to your specific goals. Group bookings are perfect for celebrations, corporate events, or friend gatherings. Contact us to discuss your requirements and schedule.
